Gut Healing Jellies

Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Refined Sugar-free

Using silicone moulds are the best option for making jellies as they are the easiest to remove.

Chocolate Gelatin Jellies

3 tbsp gelatin

1/2 cup cold water

1/2 cup Naked Paleo Beetroot + Cacao powder (can use plain cacao)

1/2 cup raw cacao

1/4 cup raw organic honey (or coconut nectar/syrup or brown rice malt syrup)

1 1/2 cups canned coconut milk, heated on stove until almost boiling

1tbsp vanilla bean extract

Method

  • Place gelatin & cold water in a blender & blend for a couple of seconds until combined.

  • Add all other ingredients except coconut milk.

  • Add hot coconut milk last & blend for 15-30 seconds until all ingredients are combined.

  • Using a spoon, pouring cup or whatever device you find easiest. Scoop chocolate mixture into silicone molds of your choice and place in refrigerator to set. *The freezer will set them faster, but if you want to eat them straight away be careful not to freeze them.

Fridge: should completely set in 30 minutes- 1 hour.

NOTE: to make a vanilla bean layer (as seen on the squares)

  • Leave the 2 cacao powders out and blend all ingredients with the coconut milk. Separate desired amount of vanilla and put to the side.

  • Add cacao powders into the blender with the rest of the vanilla mixture and blend until smooth.

  • When layering gelatin, ensure that you have allowed the first layer to set for at least 15 minutes in the fridge before pouring the second layer on top.

Turmeric Latte Jellies

3tbsp gelatin powder

1/2 cup cold water

1/2 cup Naked Paleo turmeric + Vanilla powder *Alternate options below

1tbsp vanilla bean extract

1/4 cup raw organic honey

1 can coconut milk, heated on the stove until hot

Method

  • In a blender add geltain powder and cold water. Blend for a couple of seconds until smooth.

  • Add all other ingredients, leaving coconut milk until last and blend again until smooth.

  • Pour turmeric "latte" jellies into molds of your choice and place into the fridge to set.

Alternative option instead of powder above:

  1. Create your own turmeric "latte" powder: 1tbsp turmeric, 1tbsp nutmeg, 1tbsp ginger powder, 1/2tbsp cinnamon + cracked black pepper.

  2. Add any powder substitue of your choice. Experiment with flavours. You could try: Maca powder, dessicated coconut, acai powder, matcha powder, freeze dried blueberry or raspberry powder OR substitue powder for puree'd fruit of your choice!

NOTE: If you don't have silicone molds' at home you can use baking trays, cake tins' or a couple of muffin tins'. Either line with baking paper or leave as is. When your mixture has set, slice the jellies into whatever shapes you desire. Or use a cookie cutter to create shapes.

Enjoy these tasty morsels!!

P.s you can freeze a batch to make them last longer. Defrost when you feel like a sweet treat!
